SUMMARY:Suicide Rock via Deer Springs Trail
DESCRIPTION:This is a great hike starting in Idyllwild at the Deer Springs trailhead. After climbing about 2.3 miles, through manzanita and ribbon wood pine, we’ll take a mile long side trail out to a magnificent granite outcropping called Suicide Rock. Views of Lilly Rock and Tahquitz Peak are noted and well as Garner Valley and Thomas Mountain.\nMeeting information will be emailed prior to the hike. We can carpool if participants are interested or meet at the Deer Springs Trailhead.\nDistance: 7 Miles\nElevation gain: 1400 ft.\nPace: Moderate, 2 MPH\nPlease email the hike leader, Sandy Sladen, if you wish to join this hike.
