Margaret is a snowbird, living in La Quinta during the winters and Anacortes, WA during the summers. She's hiked, scrambled, and kayaked with the Mountaineers in WA and participated in CVHC hikes since 2017.
ART SMITH TO SECOND OASIS
Great hike with great views. An iconic trail in the Coachella Valley.
The trail is very exposed, so be sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection.
Meet at the parking area on the right (west) side of Highway 74, where the highway curves to the left, just past the Bighorn Community. If you reach the actual Art Smith parking lot, you have gone too far.
