CHUCKWALLA LOOP

This hike is located in the rolling foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains above Rancho Mirage and Cathedral Canyon.  It starts at the Rancho Mirage City Hall, passes through the Cancer Survivors’ Park, and then winds up a ridge to the Roadrunner Trail.  This path  joins the Chuckwalla Trail which meanders through largely undisturbed desert hills with panoramic views of the western Coachella Valley.  This is also the road that leads up to the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

4 miles with elevation gain of 400 ft.  Meet at the back of the Rancho Mirage City Hall parking lot (69825 CA-111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270).
