SURPRISE TANK HIKE, JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
This is part of Nancy’s Geology Tour Road trio of hikes. You’ll see boulder formations with rock scenery better than any professional landscaping. And stacked rocks with zany rock-climber names. PLUS an amazing site in the desert…a beautiful pool of water. The Surprise Tank usually has no water but it has water now and won’t last long.
This route was developed two years ago by JTNP trail expert, Richard Siman, who is no longer with us but so loved by all who hiked with him.
