7 Pines – Marion Mountain Loop

One of the most scenic trails in the San Jacinto area is the 7 Pines trail. Although steep, the trail wanders through stunning granite formations, underneath a forest canopy and across multiple rivers and creeks.  This trail connects to the PCT just west of the PCT/Marion Mountain trail intersection.

This outing will be a loop circuit starting at the Marion Mountain trailhead, walking along the closed Forest Service road to the 7 Pines trailhead, up 7 Pines, down Marion Mountain and back to where the cars are parked. We will meet at the Marion Mountain trailhead parking area at 08:00 and start the road walk. Although there are usually water crossings, there is no guarantee that water will be flowing due to the low snow load we gained this winter. Bring plenty of water and food.

Encroaching vegetation is not a problem, so feel free to wear your favorite hiking shorts!
