                    Ribbonwood Trail at Pinyon Pines
Starting at the Sawmill trailhead near Pinyon Pines, the hike loops past an abandoned dolomite mine, takes you to a waterfall (that may be dry depending on the season) and meanders through picturesque pinyon pines and ribbonwood. It’s about 3 miles with 400 feet of elevation gain. The trail is mostly rolling hills with a steep incline towards the end of the hike. While this is an easy hike, the pace will be moderate. We should finish the hike in under 2 hours.
Meet at the Sawmill trailhead parking area for a hike departure of 9:00 AM. Please arrive a bit early.
Bring the usual 10 essentials including at least a liter of water as it’s cool but very dry there. Poles will be very helpful on the gravelly trail.
Dogs welcome! Dogs must be dog friendly and have to be on leash at all times, no exceptions.
IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR DOG, PLEASE CALL. OTHERWISE, PLEASE EMAIL AND INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER.
