I am from Washington state splitting my time between the North Cascades mountains and Lake Chelan. I hike a few times a week and love being in the hills. I discovered the Coachella Valley Hiking Club in 2021 and have been out with Joellen Leifer, Gene Demsey, Barb Brown and others. They sold me on helping lead some hikes myself near La Quinta which is where my winter quarters are. When not hiking in WA or CA, I am currently attempting to finish the Seven Summits in 2023-2024.

Our very own hike leader and world adventurer, Thierry Dhers, will share one of his many exploits with us. Honestly, we could feature him on a monthly basis. Thierry spends part of his time in LaQuinta and the rest in Washington State when he is isn’t working to complete his 7 Peaks. Hear about his climbing Antarctica during Covid in 2021.
