BOO HOFF & BEAR CREEK LOOP
These two trails take us into the Santa Rosa foothills south of La Quinta Cove. The first 1-1/2 miles are quite easy with a gentle incline on a sand/gravel surface. At that point, the trail gets steep and narrow for 1/2 mile up to a vista point. The remaining 2 miles are very pleasant, winding down the Bear Creek wash among rock formations and desert plants of the Bear Creek wash. Overall, this hike offers a little of everything.
Note: we’ll be in full sun the entire hike so sunscreen, H2O, etc.
We’ll meet up at La Quinta Cove Oasis Trailhead at the west end of Calle Tecate. Park on the street by 54990 Avenida Juarez or in the parking lot.
