Charles winters in Palm Desert with his wife Dianne. Enjoyment of the desert weather has brought them back to the desert many times over the last 40 years. Their summer home is in New Hampshire, where he hikes with the Green Mountain Club. He enjoys hiking and pool time here and there with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

The hike begins in a sandy wash at 4,000′ elevation.  We will start hiking up a gradual incline. Where Warren’s Peak trail branches off, we go up to the peak (5,102′) and then to Warren’s View. Spectacular views.

Back on the Panorama Trail,  we ascend to the top of a ridge which offers spectacular views of JTNP as well as San Gorgonio.  We will travel along the ridge then  descend down steep switchbacks and continue in the sandy wash back to the trailhead.
