Trading Post Challenge Fundraiser

Join the Coachella Valley Hiking Club and the Agua Caliente Band of the Cahuilla Indians for an important athletic event to benefit the UCLA School of Law Native Nations Law and Policy Center.  The Trading Post Challenge is a 3 mile run/walk through Indian Canyons, Palm Springs.

The event helps fund the Richard M. Milanovich Fellowship to prepare the next generation of leaders in Indian Country and to honor and preserve the legacy of the late Chairman Richard M. Milanovich.

Walkers start at registration at the intersection of South Palm Canyon and Acanto Road and proceed south into Indian Canyons through the toll gate heading up towards the Trading Post. Walkers will pass Cahuilla Landmarks such as Andreas Canyon and finish at Palm Canyon, the world’s largest Fan Palm oasis.

The Trading Post Challenge is a moderate, 3 mile walk with 200 feet elevation gain. 

Ticket price varies with age: $30 for ages 14-59 and $20 for seniors aged 60+. Ticket price includes entry to the event, hat, T-shirt, and Finishing Medal.
