MONDAY EVENING CANASTA

Join Melissa Philips and other Coachella Valley Hiking Club members  for weekly Canasta at the friendly La Fe Wine Bar in Palm Desert. Enjoy a glass of wine, tasty nibble and good natured card play with your fellow hikers! Monday evening Canasta will feature three rounds with teams remaining at their assigned table.  We are aiming for 4 to 6 tables each Monday.

To give everyone a chance to play, sign-ups are required for each game. You can sign up for each game between Monday and Friday of the week preceding the game — no earlier than Monday and no later than 9:00 AM Friday, please — by contacting Michele Coleman:

Signups must close by 9:00 AM Friday to allow time for table assignments and notice to La Fe Wine Bar.

We’ll play from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Players should plan to remain until 8:00 pm.  

New players welcome on First Mondays! Instruction will be provided on the first Monday of each month.  Other Mondays are for players familiar with the rules. There are several variations of canasta,  we only play Chilean. Instruction is imperative so players can be placed at a table they’ll enjoy in the following weeks.
