Bernard and "Herbie" (Anne Herbert) spend spring, summer and fall at home on Vancouver Island, BC. Their winters are spent in and around the Coachella Valley. They enjoy sailing, hiking, birding, flowers, geology, natural history and photography.
Location
JOHNNY LANG CANYON-GARNET HILL LOOP
A loop through canyons and across plateaus near Quail Springs in JTNP. Short stretches of moderate (class 2) rock scrambling (mostly UP; a few DOWN), some off-trail hiking and some stony wash walking. Beautiful views, Johnny Lang’s cabin site and Garnet Hill are highlights.
Distance of 6 miles with Elevation gain of 1000 ft.
