Verbenia PCT to Yucca Peak Saddle
THIS HIKE IS FULL. Excellent trail on PCT approached from the south, not traditional route to the saddle. Flowers beginning in wide canyon flanked by shadowy hills. Hike not in Whitewater Preserve but further west accessed from small community of Verbenia. Last half mile to saddle steep with good trailbed. Bring plenty of water (2 liters +), especially if warm day.
Moderate pace for 7 miles, 1500′ elevation gain (gradual)
