CARRIZO CANYON
Hike up a geologically/botanically interesting canyon across from the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center. Some scrambling up dry waterfalls. NOTE: This canyon is only open October through December due to concerns about the Desert Bighorn lambing season.
4 Miles with Elevation gain of 700 feet. This hike involves a good deal of sun exposure, lots of soft sand and some rock scrambling. We will keep going up-canyon until the group decides to stop and go back!
Limit is 10 hikers. No shuttle required.
