PCT from Hwy 74 to CEDAR SPRINGS
On this hike we will set a shuttle and then ascend the PCT to the north from where it crosses Hwy 74. Along the way to the Cedar Springs trail descent, we will explore oak woodlands along creek drainages and take in wide vistas reaching to San Jacinto and beyond. This hikes climbs 2587 feet prior to the descent down Cedar Springs. The distance is just under 13 miles.
This hike is a one-way hike requiring a shuttle. Depending on the number of club members who sign up, we will make arrangements for the number of cars to be positioned at trail’s end for the ride back to the PCT parking area along Hwy 74.
Although it will be early in the thru hiking season, we may encounter some early PCT NOBO hikers so have some extra snacks and candy bars to offer as trail magic!
