Walk this beautiful tranquil setting of the historic cemetery as you hear stories of early settlers, powerful and prominent families, and colorful characters who called the city home. All walks of life are interred here. Military heros, renowned architects, showbiz icons, and many others who left an impact on desert sands.
This tour will unlock some of the secrets behind the gravestones with tales that may enlighten, surprise, and even make you laugh.
Tour Docent: Cecile Hall, a great story teller.
Starting Location: The end of West Alejo Rd as it dead ends, after the intersection with Vine Avenue in Palm Springs.
Park: On the right of the unpaved road by the South Cemetery entrance
Fee: $39, which is $6 less than the Palm Springs Historical Society tour during Modernism Week.
