Charles winters in Palm Desert with his wife Dianne. Enjoyment of the desert weather has brought them back to the desert many times over the last 40 years. Their summer home is in New Hampshire, where he hikes with the Green Mountain Club. He enjoys hiking and pool time here and there with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

HERMAN’S PEAK
We will start the hike at the Willis Palm Trailhead, traveling through the Oasis, then connecting with the trail to Herman’s Peak, and finally returning to the trailhead. We will have a snack break at the peak and enjoy the views.
Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a snack. There is no shade the majority of this hike.
It is recommended that you park on the shoulder instead of in the little parking lot.
5.5 Miles with elevation gain 970 ft Limited to 8 hikers.
Expected pace of 25 minutes/mile. With breaks, we’ll be out 2.5 to 3 hours total.
