GABY HAYES / HOPALONG CASSIDY LOOP — FULL

The Gaby Hayes trail begins in Cahuilla Hills Park.  It immediately climbs to a ridge with magnificent views of Palm Desert and the surrounding mountains.  The trail then meanders through the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains and eventually joins the Hopalong Cassidy trail which loops back towards the Homestead Trailhead and the parking lot.  After the hike, you might enjoy a picnic at the tables in Cahuilla Hills Park.  Washrooms are available there.

Anyone who is in good physical condition and able to walk at a moderate pace for 3 hours (with some hills) should enjoy this hike.  Meet in the parking lot on the wash side of Desert Cities Baptist Church (45825 Edgehill Dr, Palm Desert, 92260)

6 miles, 800 feet elevation gain, medium pace
