OSWIT CANYON
This outing couldn’t take place had this beautiful 114 acres not been saved from commercial development by the Oswit Land Trust. (You’ll hear the story of this impressive effort from your hike leader at the start of the hike.)
This is a leisurely hike, ideal for CVHC hikers who enjoy our easier hikes. We’ll walk to the west end of the Oswit Canyon Loop, follow the Oswit Trail a bit further up the canyon, then turn around and head back to complete the loop.
Please note: we’ll be in full sun for the entire hike so bring your broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen and water.
We’ll meet at the South Lykken Trailhead in Palm Springs, just south of where South Palm Canyon Drive intersects with Murray Canyon Drive. There is ample parking along both sides of the street.
2.5 miles with 350′ elevation gain. Two hour duration.
IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HIKING WITH GERRY, PLEASE CALL. OTHERWISE, EMAIL.
