RANDALL HENDERSON LOOP
The Randall Henderson Canyon Loop is in south Palm Desert; it traverses the sandy washes and canyons of the lower Santa Rosa Mountains. The trailhead is located just off Highway 74 near the visitor center for the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. We hope to see wildflowers in bloom, cacti, mesquite trees, and desert scrub. Wildlife sightings are also common along this trail.
Trails are uphill/downhill, hard-packed and well maintained.
After the hike, you can learn more about the area at the visitor center, where you’ll also find exhibits on the monument’s trails, plants, wildlife and indigenous history.
