Charles winters in Palm Desert with his wife Dianne. Enjoyment of the desert weather has brought them back to the desert many times over the last 40 years. Their summer home is in New Hampshire, where he hikes with the Green Mountain Club. He enjoys hiking and pool time here and there with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

Starts at the Whitewater Rangers station, in the Whitewater Preserve. This trail follows the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) south toward the windmills. Great views and flowers (seasonal). This hike will cancel in the event of a wind advisory.
Plan to meet a few minutes before 8:00 AM at the Ranger Station gate.
8.7 Miles with Elevation gain 1900 ft.
