TRAIL MAINTENANCE – WHITEWATER PRESERVE
The Coachella Valley Hiking Club is working with the Whitewater Preserve staff to maintain and repair trails in the Preserve.
This week, we will work on the south side switchbacks of the Canyon View Loop, restoring water bars, filling in trenched trail sections, raking loose rocks and possibly trimming vegetation. It should be only a short hike to the work area. We should be done by noon.
If you are able to join us, PLEASE let me know so we can have tools for everyone. Bring the usual: hat, gloves, sunscreen, water, glasses, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, hiking shoes/boots, and snacks, if needed.
Please be ready to enter the Preserve when the gates open at 8:00 AM. We will park in the parking lot, just inside the entrance to the Preserve.
Please call or text Gary Ward, CVHC Trail Maintenance liaison, 949-285-4664, to join this work group.
