Charles winters in Palm Desert with his wife Dianne. Enjoyment of the desert weather has brought them back to the desert many times over the last 40 years. Their summer home is in New Hampshire, where he hikes with the Green Mountain Club. He enjoys hiking and pool time here and there with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

SAN GORGONIO OVERLOOK
This out-and-back hike begins at Whitewater Preserve, then heads north and crosses the Whitewater River to intersect with the PCT. Trail to the overlook bears to the left of the PCT.
10.2 Miles with an elevation gain of 1500 ft.
