Margaret is a snowbird, living in La Quinta during the winters and Anacortes, WA during the summers. She's hiked, scrambled, and kayaked with the Mountaineers in WA and participated in CVHC hikes since 2017.
PACIFIC CREST TRAIL SOUTH FROM SNOW CREEK
We join the PCT after hiking about a mile up the access road from the village of Snow Creek– a steep, vigorous warm-up for the trail ahead. The views are fantastic and get better as you ascend the trail on long, easy-going switchbacks. This trail provides some, if not the best, views of the pass and desert below, all under the towering mountain right in front of you.
Park on Snow Creek Road north of the village; there is no street parking at the Snow Creek trailhead.
