I am from Washington state splitting my time between the North Cascades mountains and Lake Chelan. I hike a few times a week and love being in the hills. I discovered the Coachella Valley Hiking Club in 2021 and have been out with Joellen Leifer, Gene Demsey, Barb Brown and others. They sold me on helping lead some hikes myself near La Quinta which is where my winter quarters are. When not hiking in WA or CA, I am currently attempting to finish the Seven Summits in 2023-2024.

INDIAN CANYONS- POTRERO LOOP
This is a “lollipop” hike that begins at the Indian Canyons Trading Post. We’ll hike south on the Palm Canyon Trail to the Indian Potrero Trail. We’ll pass by the beautiful and unusual stone pools, we’ll continue on the Potrero Trail to loop back around on Palm Canyon.

We will meet at the Indian Canyons Gate a little before 8:00am (entrance gate opens at 8am). Entrance fee required (Seniors 62+ $7 and other adults $12). Entrance address: 38520 S Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264
8.7 miles, ~ 1400 ft elevation gain. Fast pace ~2.5-2.7 mph.
