LECTURE SERIES: THE ENDURING WILD WITH JOSH JACKSON

In this presentation, Josh Jackson, will share stories from his 5-year road trip exploring California ‘s Public Lands. His journey forms the basis for his book, The Enduring Wild, a blend of travelogue, natural history, and conservation advocacy.

Did you know that there are 15 million acres of public lands in California? These lands are owned by all of us and managed by the Bureau of Land Management. They are often the least understood and the least protected public lands. But they are important to hikers in the Coachella Valley — popular local trails cross BLM lands.  Map of BLM lands in Southern CA included below.

There will be a $10 charge to attend this lecture to cover Josh’s travel costs and to sustain his documenting of public lands.
