John is a newly arrived snowbird and is learning many of the hikes in the valley. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and all types of skiing. In the summertime John and Louise live in the Columbia Valley, British Columbia. John and Louise joined the club in 2022 and have been on several hikes; we are keen to lead “easier” hikes to make getting outside more accessible.
BIG MORONGO MEANDER
This loop hike through the Big Morongo Preserve will take us up the Yucca Ridge overlooking the Preserve, down the upper part of Big Morongo Canyon and back via the West Canyon trail. Interesting geology, flora and fauna.
4.5 Miles with Elevation Gain of 550 ft Pace: 2-2.5 mph
