Margaret is a new hike leader for CVHC. She's a snowbird, living in La Quinta during the winters and Anacortes, WA during the summers. She's hiked, scrambled, and kayaked with the Mountaineers in WA and participated in CVHC hikes since 2017.
BIG MORONGO MEANDER
This loop hike through the Big Morongo Preserve will take us up the Yucca Ridge overlooking the Preserve, down the upper part of Big Morongo Canyon and back via the West Canyon trail. Interesting geology, flora and fauna. Please bring the usual 10 essentials and a snack. Binoculars recommended.
4.5 Miles with Elevation Gain of 550 ft Pace: 2-2.5 mph
