Bernard and "Herbie" (Anne Herbert) spend spring, summer and fall at home on Vancouver Island, BC. Their winters are spent in and around the Coachella Valley. They enjoy sailing, hiking, birding, flowers, geology, natural history and photography.
BIG MORONGO CANYON MEANDER – HIKE IS FULL
This loop hike through the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve will take us up the Yucca Ridge overlooking the Preserve, down the upper part of Big Morongo Canyon and back via the West Canyon trail. Interesting geology, flora and fauna.
4.5 Miles with Elevation Gain of 550 ft Pace: 2-2.5 mph
