ART SMITH TRAILHEAD TO HOPALONG CASSIDY, SHAY THEN BACK TO ART SMITH
A popular “in-town” hike that is a loop starting at the Art Smith Trailhead off of HWY 74. The trail takes you high above Big Horn’s massive homes and continues until civilization is out of sight. What remains to be seen are mountains, cacti, trail and often times Big Horn Sheep. In Spring if there has been some rain, the landscape will be lush with wild flowers. The desert at it’s very best!
7 miles, 2000 feet elevation gain.
