Christy winters in the desert and spends the rest of each year at home near Denver or traveling. She leads mostly moderate paced hikes, often including stops for talking about local history. Christy plays golf with wild inconsistency, and refuses to let the game spoil the walk. In her past life she was a Sacramento land use attorney.

LEARN SOME ROCKS AND HIKE

Instructed by rock expert (aka rock hound) Diane Brown, all participants will learn to name at least 5 rocks AND understand how they came to be.  We will hike the relatively flat Earl Henderson trail in Palm Springs at a moderate pace, with frequent stops to admire the random wonder of the chunks of earth on the desert floor and canyon walls.

6 Miles with Elevation gain of 200 ft.
