Christy winters in the desert and spends the rest of each year at home near Denver or traveling. She leads mostly moderate paced hikes, often including stops for talking about local history. Christy plays golf with wild inconsistency, and refuses to let the game spoil the walk. In her past life she was a Sacramento land use attorney.
Location
MISSION CREEK PCT LOOP
After passing through the gate at Mission Creek Preserve (west of Desert Hot Springs), we will hike from the stone house to the San Gorgonio Overlook then down into Whitewater canyon. Then we will head South in the wash to the PCT and back on the PCT North to the stone house. Pace will be moderate. If the weather is great, we will have lunch together at the picnic tables at the end of the hike.
10 Miles with Elevation gain of 1300 ft.
