I am a Kansas City native and moved here in 2011. I joined the hiking club and fell in love with our mountains. The CVHC has made such a difference in my life. Leading hikes allows me to meet so many people and share the joy of a day spent outdoors. Between the San Jacinto, Joshua Tree, our valley, Idyllwild, and Mecca there is a lot to discover in the Palm Springs area. If not on the trail, I am most likely cooking or playing canasta or mahjong.

PALM SPRINGS TRAMWAY TO SADDLE JUCTION LOOP
This hike starts out following the main trail toward San Jacinto up to Wellman’s Divide. Passing over the divide, the trail continues down toward Idyllwild and passes over the Pacific Crest Trail. At Saddle Junction the return to the tram station begins near Skunk Cabbage Meadow and continues along the Willow Creek Trail.
12 Miles with Elevation gain of 3,000 ft.
