CONTACT AND ANACONDA MINES

Visit two mines noteworthy for those who have an interest in the early mining era of Joshua Tree in a less touristy area of the Park.  First trail to Anaconda mine.  Trail leading to Contact mine cut into rugged hillside, impressive in itself, beautifully supported by inlaid rocks.  Trail well marked, up a large drainage before following this amazing mining road.  Lots of interesting artifacts.

Limited to 12 hikers.

5.7 miles with 800′ elevation gain.

Please email Nancy after January 9 to join this hike and include your phone number.
