SKYLINE 1/2 WAY TO THE TRAM

An epic climb, Skyline Trail to the Tram is known far and wide for its extreme challenge. Our hike half way to the Tram and back to the valley, an equivalent distance to going one way to the Tram, will give you experience with its terrain and steep grades.  Many actually find this out-and-back hike harder than going to the Tram because of the demanding descent. It can start at the Museum trailhead or Ramon Rd. trailhead but we will start from Ramon. Poles are recommended.

10 Miles with Elevation gain 4300 ft.

We will start from the North Lykken trailhead, located at the western terminus of West Ramon Road.

Arrive at the trailhead at 7:25 AM. Be ready to go at 7:30 AM. We usually return to the trailhead no later than 4:30 PM.
