TRAIL MAINTENANCE

We will be heading out to the Coachella Valley Palm Preserve in Thousand Palms for some trail maintenance this Tuesday (Jan 7). The work will be on the North side of the Hermans Trail. The meeting spot will be at the preserves office which is about 1/4 mile north of the entrance on Thousand Palms Canyon Road (on the left). For those of you that have not been there, you can reach this area from Ramon Road to the west or Washington Street to the East. Once there we will be shuttled by truck for about 3/4 mile to the trail head. The work will be general maintenance of repairing foot bed, cleaning water bars and lots of raking. Please meet at 8:00am and bring water, snacks, and your trail working supplies which includes heavy gloves and shoes.
