Another one of six historic hikes in the high desert
This is a 6.1 mile moderately challenging hike beginning on Indian Trail Loop proceeding counterclockwise and stopping at a few points of interest. This is a ‘twofer’ hike. In 1909 and 1945, this area was part of the not-so-Old-West and witnessed some sad events. The stops include the ruins of the Olson cabin and, later on, petroglyphs that played a part in the story of Willie Boy.
