I am a Kansas City native and moved here in 2011. I joined the hiking club and fell in love with our mountains. The CVHC has made such a difference in my life. Leading hikes allows me to meet so many people and share the joy of a day spent outdoors. Between the San Jacinto, Joshua Tree, our valley, Idyllwild, and Mecca there is a lot to discover in the Palm Springs area. If not on the trail, I am most likely cooking or playing canasta or mahjong.

YUCCA PEAK: WHITEWATER PRESERVE CLOSED 11/16-11/24 THIS HIKE CHANGE TO ARABY TRAIL
Starts at the Whitewater Rangers station, in the Whitewater Preserve. Take the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) south toward the windmills. Great views and flowers (seasonal). Avoid windy days.
