Philip founded the CVHC in 1992 and formalized the group as a hiking club in 1993. He has led over 450 hikes for the club. Philip also has authored the #1 all-time best selling Regional book "140 Great Hikes in and Near Palm Springs," as well as "Colorado State Parks: A Complete Recreation Guide" and "Hiking! The Ultimate Natural Prescription for Health & Wellness." President of "Transformation Seminars" since 1981, Philip is available for slide shows and seminars. He winters in Palm Desert & summers near Boulder, Colorado. Hikes for fun, adventure, scenic beauty, and geologically interesting areas are his specialty.
