Coachella Valley Museum of History
Join Hike Leader Ken McDowell for a special tour of the Coachella Valley Museum of History. In addition to a docent-led tour of the Museum, Ken will discuss the geologic timeline of the Valley. Members who have participated in hikes led by Ken especially appreciate his insights into geologic formations and history of this active area.
The Museum is opening early for this event and will be available exclusively to members of the CVHC. Permanent exhibitions include an eclectic collection of Mexican folk art, historical overview of the world’s oldest cultivated crop – the date palm, and a 1909 Indio schoolhouse. Lunch in the lovely Museum Date Garden is included in the event fee of $20.

9:30 Docent-led tour of the Museum
11:30 Lunch featuring sandwiches from TKB Bakery and Deli, chips, and bottled water.
