Rainbow Rock Canyon — HIKE CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER

Distance: 6.64 m     Elevation gain: 975′               THIS HIKE IS FULL
Duration:  From 4 to 5 hrs

The hike starts at the Whitewater Preserve Visitor Center. We follow the PCT north for a short distance to the trail into Rainbow Rock Canyon. Highlights include the colorful rocks for which the canyon is named and a lovely waterfall at the canyon’s end.

The trail has suffered from repeated flash floods, so it is rough in spots. There are several short water crossings and dense vegetation as we approach the waterfall. Not a trail for your best clothes!

If you want to join this hike or have questions about it, please email Bernard and Herbie at [email protected]

Maximum number of hikers: 12
