SPEAKER SERIES: Scaling Europe’s Most Beautiful and Challenging Peaks

Learn how to conquer 172 miles over 54,000 feet of elevation gain in Europe’s most spectacular mountains – Mont Blanc and Italy’s Dolomites – fueled by the region’s largest grilled cheese sandwich. Alaskan Club member David Ramseur will recap his 10-day hike around Europe’s highest mountain and his 8-day trek across the even more challenging Italian Alps. David was joined by fellow Alaskans on both trips in recent years and only suffered a torn rotator on one shoulder. He is a 20-year part-time Rancho Mirage resident who worked in politics and journalism during his 45 years in Alaska.
